Let’s Try this again…….

I can’t believe that 2012 is finally coming to an end. This hasn’t been the worst year, but it also has not been the greatest. Truth is…..it consisted of boredom, laziness, gluttony, low motivation etc. etc.

You would think I would of been tired of this vicious cycle months ago, but no it took me almost the entire year. I decided in June that running wasn’t my thing this year. September I spent a whole lot of money to get certified for a Spin instructor…..nope still hasn’t happened.

So over the past few Ketel’s and Soda, I came to a realization….my pants are getting tighter and tighter and just aren’t stopping. Why was I doing this to myself? Why was I letting myself do this?

So I made a decision…..2013 will be different.

My gym membership unfreezes on January 1st and so doesn’t my workout schedule. I made a bet with David last night that Saturday – Wednesday are my gym days. If I do not go to the gym, he gets $10.I am going to plan 1 goal each month. Something simple but with a sense of accomplishment.

So what should I do for January??? Well I am going to get that spin certification. Starting Tuesday, I will begin studying my handbook daily. on January 31st (or hopefully I will be ready sooner), I will take the certification test online. At some point this year, one of my monthly goals will be to teach an actual class, but we will get to that later.

My workout schedule for January will also (finger crossed) look like:

Saturday – Running with Strength (Thinking of attempting the NROLFW)

Sunday – Body Attack in the AM/ Spin or Yoga in the PM

Monday – Running with Strength (NROLFW)

Tuesday – Body Attack or Spin

Wednesday -  Running with Strength (NROLFW or Pilates)

I am slowly starting to believe in myself that I can do this.
